Colette Montgomery
Sporting Director + Head Coach
Colette has two decades of experience in the Twin Cities coaching community, having served as a former Director of Coaching and collegiate coach. Additionally, she is a U.S. Soccer Grassroots and D License Coach Educator, holding credentials such as a USSF B License, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, and National Youth License. Committed to leadership development and guiding individuals to reach their full potential through mentorship, Colette is enthusiastic about contributing to the growth and success of Minnesota Aurora FC. Beyond coaching, she finds joy in outdoor activities like biking and walking, as well as reading.

Lucca Shimanuki
Goalkeeper Coach
Lucca has a Master’s Degree in Education of Coaching Leadership from Mount Marty University, SD. Since graduating in 2020, he has been coaching in the Twin Cities area serving as the Director of Goalkeeping at Twin Cities Rush and Assistant Men’s and Women’s coach at North Central University. Currently, Lucca is coaching the U15 and U17 goalkeepers for Minnesota United FC Academy. He will complete his C license this spring. Besides coaching, he enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and CrossFit.

Mary Pipenhagen
Soccer Operations
Pipenhagen Graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Math – Actuarial Science and pursued a career in business consulting while simultaneously coaching soccer at a local youth club and at high schools around the metro. With 6 years of consulting experience and 8 years of coaching competitive youth and high school soccer, Mary combines her experiences into the Soccer Operations role at Minnesota Aurora.

Mandy Pochobradsky
Aurora 2 Head Coach
Mandy has a degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and has been coaching for over 15 years. For the last five years, she has been coaching in the Twin Cities with Hamline University, Twin Cities Rush, and Minnesota ODP. Prior to moving to Minnesota, she coached in California for a youth soccer club, high school, and also served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Menlo College. Additionally, she loves coffee, outdoor activities and running ultramarathons.

Sara Rosenblum
Aurora 2 Assistant Coach
Having recently returned to Minnesota from New York City, Sara possesses a decade of coaching experience at multiple capacities. Currently, the Girls’ Director of Coaching and Player Development at Fusion Soccer Club, Rosenblum also runs the Girls’ Soccer program at her former high school, Hopkins. Prior to this, Sara coached DI Women’s Soccer at St. Francis College, Brooklyn and for ODP, Eastern New York. She also helped build and launch Brooklyn City FC’s WPSL team as the Director of Operations. Outside of the beautiful game, Sara enjoys hiking with her dog and cycling.

Morgan Philliber
Aurora 2 Volunteer Assistant Coach
Morgan has a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin – Superior and is working on her Master’s degree in Sports Management from Minnesota State University Mankato. She played 4 year at the University of Wisconsin – Superior as a goalkeeper and has been coaching ever since ending her college playing career. She currently is on staff as the assistant coach at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Previously she has coached at Buena Vista University as the assistant women’s soccer coach and worked with Superior High School while playing in college as an assistant and goalkeeper coach. Beyond coaching, she loves finding new coffee shops, working out and running, and working with the nonprofit The Hidden Opponent!

Morgan Turner
Aurora 2 Soccer Operations Assistant
Morgan played soccer at DePaul University and graduated with a degree in Political Science. She played for Aurora in 2022, assisting in placing 2nd in the USL W League. She played professionally for SCU Torreense in Portugal for the 2022-2023 season. She recently started her career working in Corporate Partnerships with the Minnesota Wild.

Jenn Ireland
Mental Skills Coach // Expand Your Game
Ireland is a Mental Skills Coach whose focus is on empowering female soccer players to own their growth and maximize their potential by expanding their mental performance skills, reframing limiting beliefs and uncovering authentic passion and drive. She is the founder of Expand Your Game and the Mindset Mastery Academy, a 1-on-1 mental skills program for female soccer players. She has most recently coached youth teams with Chattanooga FC Academy in Tennessee and Seattle United in Washington state. Ireland currently serves as the Mental Skills Coordinator at Berkshire Soccer Academy.

Dr. Christie Heikes
Team Physician // Twin Cities Orthopedics
Orthopedic sports medicine surgeon Dr. Christie Heikes began her training at the University of Minnesota where she competed on the track and cross country teams. She also attended medical school and residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Heikes completed her formal education by doing a sports medicine fellowship with Minnesota Sports Medicine.
Dr. Heikes has been with Twin Cities Orthopedics since 2008 where she has developed focus on treating athletes. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her family and enjoys playing golf and tennis. One of her favorite activities is going to sporting events cheering on her kids and any Minnesota team.
Part of Aurora FC last year, she is eager for the return of the athletes for their second run at the championship!
Danielle Armstrong
Head Athletic Trainer // Twin Cities Orthopedics
Danielle Armstrong will be in her first year as the team’s Certified Athletic Trainer for the 2023 season. She is currently the Lead Clinical Assistant at the Edina Twin Cities Orthopedics clinic and works with a variety of physicians in that role. Danielle formerly worked as an Associate Athletic Trainer at Marquette University from 2010 through 2017, providing medical coverage to their women’s soccer program for eight seasons. Danielle received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Marquette University in Athletic Training and her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Michigan State University.
